Inspirational - Fergus Gibson

Recently we had the pleasure of working on Fergus Gibson new race bike, he's latest KTM 890. Ferg has been racing for over 32 years and we are pretty chuffed that with all that experience, he chooses and trusts Race Center to setup all his race bikes.

Ferg has been a long standing and one of the OG customers of Race Center. Having his bike in was a nice opportunity to reflect and appreciate the journey we have had together.

More importantly though, it was an opportunity to not only appreciate the beautiful lug of a man, but draw inspiration from him.

There is no denying Motorcycle racing is an exhilarating and fun sport. However it is also one bloody tough sport. It is full of highs and lows. At times it will make you face fear and the deepest of self doubt, truly testing your resilience. It takes a lot of courage, determination as well as skill.

So when someone has been doing it for over 32 years, you can bet that they are not only highly skilled, but they also possess true tenacity to overcome adversity. Ferg has all of those qualities.

In recent times, Ferg had to undergo open heart surgery. If anyone needed anymore proof of how hard and determined this fella is, he has made a great recover, and already resumed his racing career.

At last round of the Victorian Road Race Championships, at Broadford International Raceway, Ferg was in full flight. The happiest fella in the pits and carrying on like a pork chop as usual. Best of all, he was bloody fast on that 890 of his, as per usual, seriously top work Ferg! If that ain't inspirational, we do not what is.

Seems they must have put a little more gold in when they did his open heart surgery.
